About Belize
Formally British Honduras, Belize is the only Central American country with English as their national language. Belize is bordered to the North by Mexico, South and West by Guatemala and the East by the Caribbean Sea. The mainland is only 180 miles long and 68 miles wide, but has 100's of islands off its coast.

Belize only has a population of about 350,000 people, and a diverse society comprising of many cultures and languages.

The country has an abundence of terrestrial and marine species, and a diversity of ecosystems. Over 60% of the mainland is covered by forest.

With such a diverse landscape, there is something in Belize for everyone. Enjoy the pine ridge, the tropical rainforest, or the world's second largest barrier reef; the choice is yours.
