Program Description:
​The Automotive Program provides the trainee with knowledge and skills to become employable in the automotive field. Some areas of studies include: the performance of the bench work operations, acquiring the ability to assemble, weld and cut mild steel joints using oxyacetylene equipment, performing cooling and lubrication services and much more!

Program Objectives
Focus on personal development, trade and professional ethics, personal hygiene and law governing the occupation
 Perform bench work operations focus-ing on the fastening, cutting, marking out, and drilling of metal.

 Acquire the abilities to assemble. Weld and cut mild steel joints using oxyacetylene equipment

 Perform cooling and lubrication services, include checking, changing and lubricating the engine.
 Repair and maintain electrical systems using the correct electrical test equipment.
 Repair master cylinder , valves, switches, fuel lines and hoses. Have knowledge of brake fluids, wheels bearings, function of combination valve, and possible cause and corrective action for hydraulic power unit.
 Repair and maintain steering and suspension systems. Check and remove absorbers, servicing of steering and gear boxes. Repair and bal-ance tires.
 Gain both theoretical and practical exposure in the repairing and maintaining of manual trans-mission systems.
 Inspecting and replacing gearbox.
 Service clutch, drive shaft , CV joints and final drive.
 Gain competence in servicing fuel systems

 Removing and replacing carburetor, fuel pump and filter. Along with servicing and bleeding fuel system.
